Territory - Northern Region

Sales process: Participate in sales projects as directed by the Marketing Manager / Business Manager and the Regional Sales Manager. Align with Account Managers on local sales action plans (strategic selling) and account strategy. Promote Business Unit (BU) products and platforms to new and existing accounts to achieve BU sales and profit targets. Identify, monitor and follow-up on new sales prospects and ad hoc sales opportunities.
Sales support: Provide product specific platform, technical and application expertise during the sales process. Conduct product demonstrations, present instruments and hold presentations in front of customers. Identify and report training needs and support training for Business Unit products.
Assay penetration: Contribute to sales growth by promoting and extending the breadth of product usage at the customer site. Document assay usage and compliance with contracts. Identify opportunities for assay/menu extension and other up-selling opportunities. Work with Account Managers to capture sales opportunities. Support customer to ensure that extensions are implemented in the fastest possible time frame.
Customer interaction: Develop and maintain relationships with customers to support customer satisfaction and ensure transparency of customer needs within the organization.Ensure technical performance issues are escalated internally to ensure resolution.
Assay retention : Monitor the assay penetration at existing sites to ensure retention of existing methods. Ensure product conversions are completed in a timely manner with the customer by leveraging internal resources.
Customer training: Identify requirements for training at customer sites and liaise with Account Manager to ensure correct training is delivered to new operators and refresher training to existing users.
Know-how and expertise: Keep up to date with product developments, clinical and market trends and develop standing as an expert inside the organization and with customers.
Assay penetration sales programmes : Work with the Marketing Manager Chemistry Immunoassay (CI), the Product Managers, the Regional Sales Managers and the Business Development Managers to drive method penetration at existing customers and to provide sufficient product support during all phases of the sales process.
Other agreed tasks if reasonably required by business needs



The Assay Specialist (AS) is responsible to achieve regional sales targets through promotion of Siemens products with existing customers. The AS works with the customer to extend the breadth of methods run on Siemens systems. The AS ensures rapid addition of new assays. The AS provides technical application expertise during the bid process and into the bid documents for assay specific technical parts.
