OPPORTUNITY:
Boehringer Ingelheim are currently looking to strengthen their Hospital Specialists Sales Force.
They therefore wish to appoint a team of Regional Operations Managers and Hospital Specialists with vacancies Nationwide.
Successful candidates will manage a varied and challenging workload complementing and supporting the efforts of all our sales teams.
You will have the flexibility to adapt to different products and will be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Only with the best in terms of people can we take on the challenge, subject to receiving regulatory consent, of launching a number of new products over the next 5 years. And in doing so we will fulfil our mission to 'Improve Patient Lives'.
We already have a considerable franchise in respiratory and cardiovascular medicine and we are ensuring that we are ready to expand our portfolio.
ROLE:
You will be a highly motivated individual who is able to identify and develop business opportunities in line with the Company's agenda. To drive sales and advocacy within the hospital arena, To meet and exceed agreed sales, activity and Account management targets within budget and in accordance with the overall marketing strategy.

Person Profile
The successful candidate will have
- excellent selling and presenting skills.
- a proven record in delivering sales success in the Secondary Care environment.
- the ability to demonstrate a high level of skill and business acumen, working closely with a broad range of customers in order to facilitate growth and to minimise barriers to prescribing for our expanding portfolio.
- a full knowledge of the local hospital issues and funding environment and have strong relationships with the key hospital physicians and payors to be able to impact our business.
- experience within the Cardiovascular/Diabetes market, along with experience in the major centres of the territory, as this would be highly advantageous.
Skills & Qualifications:
Degree or equivalent
Understanding of ABPI code of practice.
Good level of experience working in a pharmaceutical, commercial or NHS management environment
Thorough knowledge of disease area in which they operate, such that can hold peer level conversations with all customers
Good understanding of the NHS environment Aptitude to develop high level of product, competitor and therapy area knowledge
Good understanding of all customer roles within hospitals
Good understanding of hospital management structures, staffing hierarchy and ability to identify key business influencers.
IT literate (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook) Ideally, a clean driving licence
