Installation / Implementation Specialist

LOCATION: High Wycombe

ROLE:
Main Roles and Responsibilities

Assist with on-site surveys and customer presentations prior to tender and installation
Assist with implementation of, and manage the application setup of clinical laboratory automation systems
Manage the setup of data management software solutions
Work with external and internal colleagues to ensure reliable LIS connections to data management software and automation systems
Provide quality in-house and on-site product and application customer training
Work closely with other internal departme! nts to build relationships that result in timely implementation, insta llation and post go-live support
Ensure the customer is able to report clinical results, prior to sign off
Ensure accurate completion of all paperwork and reports
Achieve departmental goals and objectives to meet the company’s operational plan
Adhere to company policies and procedures
Contribute to an environment where quality is perceived as a culture

Reporting to the Technical Support & Training Manager, the Implementation and Installation Specialist provides a combination of on and off-site customer training, application support, and installation support across the UK.
The successful candidate will be initially focused on assisting with the rapid implementation of clinical pathology laboratory automation and information systems at new customer sites by providing high quality ongoing onsite application support and training, as well as providing ongoing support to our existing customers.

It i! s envisaged that the role will develop further into providing implementation support for other diagnostic product lines.

This position will be instrumental in providing a high level of customer service, requiring close interaction with both customers and colleagues, and will lead to increased customer satisfaction and an earlier start of the profitable consumable revenue stream for the company.

Person Profile

1st/2.1 or equivalent degree in Biomedical Science or similar (relevant vocational experience will be considered)
Experience of clinical pathology laboratory environments and procedures
High level of IT skills with a fair working knowledge of current laboratory information systems
Experience with clinical automation systems and/or clinical analysers
Strong time management and organisational skillsGood interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both internally a! nd externally at all levelsThis position is nationwide and as such requires a flexible approach to working pattern
A full UK driving licence is required
Ideally located within 3 hours travel of High Wycombe Head Office
