Territory Manager

Territory: Northern Ireland

Products: Full range of Farm Animal Produts - FAB

Role: Learns and manages the day to day activities of the territory business. Gains an understanding of the agricultural industry, and actively promotes and sells the company and the products to the trade and veterinary customers, achieving sales targets and making sure all competitor activity is reported back to the brand team.

1. Achieve sales target set for the territory - Ensure targets are hit for the territory by product by month. Provide active input with the RSM into the target setting for the territory. There must be written business plans in place for the top 10 customers, these should be discussed and agrees with the customer, and should contain details of growth opportunities, agreed spend, dates for training and details of the targets set. Demonstrate good knowledge of the ASE principles in all calls. Work with the FAM's to ensure a focused sell-out campaign creates loyalty and demand for NAH products. Conduct presentations where required.
2. Ensure good control of costs - Work within the budget set by the RSM. Allocate the spend according to the size and the potential of each account. Ensure an adequate and agreed return on investment is achieved on all spend. Keep records of all monies spent and the revenue return on investment.
3. Supply accurate forecasts - Supply forecasts to the RSM on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. These will be by product. A high level of accuracy of these forecasts is imperative, to help with these forecasts you will need to keep an accurate stock itinerary at each account and be aware of when orders are due to be placed.
4. Ensures customer satisfaction - Works to a set business plan agreed with the top 10 accounts. Develops an understanding of customer needs by expanding basic product and industry knowledge to enhance services to the customer and grow their business. Identifies training needs and liases with the LD team to implement required training sessions.
5. Accurate stock control - Ensure an up to date stock itinerary is on ETMS. Ensure The sell out is focused on reducing stock levels to reduce the customer's working capital. Report to RSM and marketing any abnormal stock carry over. Report any expected increases in sales over forecast to RSM and marketing department in advance to ensure stock is available. Be aware of any short dated stock in the trade and aid the sell out to avoid stock write off.
6. Provide feedback from customers - All information gained from customers needs to be put on ETMS, any important information must be fed back to the RSM and marketing. This information would include, competitor activity, competitor stock and product information, specific requests from the customer, feedback on NAH campaigns.
7. Timely completion of administrative tasks - All administration requests to be returned on time, including, expenses, forecasts, stock itinerary, ETMS, and any other task requested by RSM, Head of Sales or Marketing.
