Role Overview

The role is predominately covering the M4 Corridor and we are looking for someone based in the South East, ideally greater London area.
National travel will be required to support the wider team, overnight stays are likely to be 3-4 per month.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

•  On-site instrument maintenance, repair and troubleshooting and telephone support for instrument issues
•  Instrument installation and decommissioning
•  Installation & support of laboratory IT/network solutions (LIMS/middleware)
•  Work closely with the commercial team to ensure collaboration and excellent customer service
•  Training customers and colleagues in the use of the company's instruments and software
•  Ensure excellent standards of customer care by visiting clients proactively, in the absence of issues
•  Monitor spare parts inventory and ensure appropriate stock is maintained
•  Completion of all Administration requirements, timely and accurately in line with company policies and external quality control requirements
•  Any other duties as necessitated by the business

Person Specification

•  An Electronic or Mechanical Engineering qualification e.g. BTEC, HNC
•  At least two years' experience working with instrumentation, ideally in a laboratory environment
•  Experience with IT information systems, preferably in a hospital environment
•  A keen interest in medical diagnostics and associated products, with a desire to develop a career in this field
•  Self-motivated, ability to organise and prioritise daily work, excellent communication skills, flexible and dynamic
