International Business Manager - (Middle East, S. America, Africa, S.E.Asia)

REPORTING TO - Sales and Marketing Director

BACKGROUND
The company sees the Middle East, S. America, Africa, markets as vital to the success of our International division and ultimately the Group. In addition development of new markets in S.E. Asia is of long term importance.
The key objectives of this role are to manage these key markets and ensure distribution arrangements are established that give opportunity for sustained sales and profit growth.

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE
To achieve the sales and profit targets for the Middle East, S. America, Africa, S.E. Asia (E2) by developing long term business relationships with our existing Distributors.
To find and propose new Distributors where the current Distributor is under performing or opportunities not being maximised.
To develop relationships with key customers and key opinion leaders in each market
To introduce new products and achieve agreed sales and profit targets

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES
1. To develop a sales plan & budget for the territory. The plan should include Monthly Sales targets for each Distributor/Customer strategies to achieve these targets

2. To monitor Distributor performance on a regular basis and take corrective action where necessary
3. To research find, select and propose new Distributors for countries and their market segments where needed and negotiate profitable distribution contracts including minimum purchase quantities
N.B. Exclusivity should only be granted for a market segment when we are convinced the Distributor can deliver a significant (>5%) market share to the company.
4. To obtain regular sales forecasts from Distributors
5. Develop and agree strategic road maps with Distributors
6. To monitor activity of competitors in territory E2
7. To develop sales campaigns in conjunction with the Product Management Team with agreed sales objectives for existing and new products
8. To work with the Product Management Team to ensure that all price lists and literature are kept up to date and available to Distributors
9. To work closely with the Customer Services Team and ensure all pricing, special quotes and ordering information is up to date and loaded in Sage
10. Ensure that CRM is kept updated and accurate.

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Extensive sales and customer service experience preferably with a Distribution network
Thorough understanding of Diagnostic products
Excellent IT skills to include Word, Excel, Powerpoint & graphics
Experience of liaising with distributors/customers and analysing their needs
Good analytical skills
Other languages would be advantageous
Ability to train sales people & product managers
