A great opportunity for a life sciences graduate (BSc or MSc) with some experience in customer focused roles during or after university (e.g. retail sales, telesales, customer support) who is looking to move into a customer focused commercial scientific position!

This is an exciting opportunity to work in an office-based sales & support position for a very well-respected global manufacturer of life science products, with a great reputation in the market for product quality!
You will work closely with the sales, marketing and logistics teams and this role predominately involves supporting the field-based sales team to help maximise their selling time in front of the customer. This can include lead qualification for the sales team, administrative support, managing demonstration stock, marketing support and assist with generating customer quotations.

This position is a great step into a commercial scientific position and will lead to future career development opportunities within the business.

ROLE:
· Follow up on marketing campaigns via telephone and email and pass on prospective business to the sales representative.
· Organise and manage logistics for demonstration equipment used by the sales team at customer sites.
· Support for exhibitions via co-ordination of exhibition banners, marketing material, literature required.
· Courtesy call customers once instruments have been sold after 3 and 12 months on site to monitor customer feedback and identify any future needs.
· Assist with coordination of company tenders and data collection. Ensure that documentation is recorded and sent on time.
· Assist the sales team with generation and submission of customer quotations.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
· Degree educated in a Life Science based topic.
· Excellent communication skills, self-motivated and team focused.
· Excellent customer service, analytical and organisational skills - experience working in an administrative or customer-focused role is preferred.
· Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
