A brilliant opportunity for a Biomedical Scientist/Medical Laboratory Assistant/Associate Practitioner to move into an office-based Applications Specialist role supporting Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, Microbiology instrumentation, systems and related reagents.
The position involves telephone-based troubleshooting and customer support, in-house applications work, pre-demo checks on products and on-site customer training.

This role is office based in Berkshire, working with a leading diagnostic company.

PRODUCTS: Clinical Chemistry, Immunoassay, Haematology, Immunology, Microbiology instrumentation, systems and related reagents.
CUSTOMERS: NHS and Private Clinical Laboratories


KEY RESPONSIBLITIES
Provide first line telephone support to internal and external customers for all applications related calls and provide remote troubleshooting for a 'phone fix' where possible and ensuring all follow up actions are undertaken promptly.
In house laboratory instrumentation - ensure instruments are always primed, calibrated and operational at all times
This position will be instrumental in providing a high level of support, requiring close interaction with the customer and colleagues to achieve and maintain a quality service
Perform in-house product training, ensuring that customers are provided with training appropriate to the use of the instrumentation and software solutions
Assist new and existing customers with assay validation processes and troubleshooting techniques
Build and maintain customer relationships
Ensure accuracy and timely completion of all paperwork and reports
Responsible for provision & maintenance of training documentation (elearning & hard copies)

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Minimum 2 years' experience in the diagnostics industry working in clinical laboratory (ideally as a Biomedical Scientist), coupled with expertise in clinical chemistry or haematology or immunoassay or microbiology or immunology or haematology.
Excellent communication skills, team focused and organised.
