An exciting chance to join a fast-growing, established clinical diagnostics brand as a Global Product Manager, suitable for a current Product Manager or an experienced Diagnostics Sales Specialist! Based in Birmingham and focusing on diagnostic systems.

PRODUCTS: Analysers and Software - must have experience in diagnostic systems and have a very strong commercial understanding.
LOCATION: Birmingham

Role duties:
- Product lifecycle management including monitoring customer feedback, competitor activity, new customer needs and sales support materials, product changes, product discontinuation.
- Develop and implement product development plans in collaboration with Commercial Marketing team and regional teams, monitor and coordinate the implementation of activities according to plan.
- Actively support sales in order to achieve budget for relevant products.
- Assess market demands and user needs and develop market entry strategies for new products.
- Develop the product/portfolio roadmap for area of responsibility.
- Work in interdisciplinary project teams towards the development and launch of new products.
- Manage product launches including preparation for market, product and commercial readiness.
- Assist in producing launch materials and deliver promotions on time and in budget.
- Establish and maintain relationships with global KOLs / key customers / networks.

- Scientific degree, PhD or equivalent and/or Marketing or Business degree or MBA
- Typically 4-6 years of relevant experience, including 3 years work experience in product management/marketing in the diagnostic/Life science industry & preferably sales experience
- Previous experience of commercialising and launching diagnostic products
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Excellent written, presentation and communication skills
- Numerical skills for manipulation of market and sales data, profitability calculations and development of business cases
- Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook as a minimum)
- Ability to develop strong stakeholder relationships (internal and external)

- Marketing related qualification
- Experience of working internationally, particularly EMEA, Asia Pacific and the US.
- Experience of new product development as well as product launches within the diagnostic industry

The individual can be based in the UK or Europe as long as they are prepared to spend at least 2 weeks per month at head office in Birmingham, and be prepared for at least 30% international travel.
