We are currently recruiting for Field Service Engineer looking for their next step in their professional development to join Roche Diagnostics, the world's leading health supplier in Diagnostics equipment. We invite applications from field service engineers with experience of fault diagnosis and repair of electro-mechanical/fluidic/electronics systems, or from someone with the right skills and attitude wanting to move into a field service position. Ideally you will have started your career troubleshooting at component level and have progressively built up your expertise to systems level in any of these industries (biomedical engineering, industrial engineering, automation, aerospace but to name a few).

The vacancy is based from London (ideally located within the M25), with work in this area and the surrounding areas.

Your role

As part of the UK Engineering Support team, you will report to the Southern Regional Technical Manager and be involved in providing first-class customer service covering trouble-shooting to component level, technical upgrades/maintenance, installation and customer training. Our customers include the NHS, Universities and private pathology laboratories and you will work on specified products, ranging from large to medium sized biomedical test equipment

- On target earning potential: 12%

Person Profile

You are an ambitious and motivated, qualified Engineer - with good previous service experience of working with high-value capital equipment. You will be qualified to an HNC/HND level or above in electronics. A relevant science subject would also be desirable.

You will possess a confident working approach. Customer-focused, you will be capable of representing the company in a positive manner at client sites that enhance the reputation and professionalism of Roche Diagnostics Limited. You will excel in building productive customer relationships in a complex matrix environment.

Applicants would need to be confortable with a flexible approach to working patterns (EG with varying start times, a a customer may ask an engineer to be on-site at 7am or maybe at 10am on certain days). We have a 37.5 hours working week at Roche. Overtime is only paid at weekends. If an engineer has a long day or longer working hours in a given week due to exceptional circumstances, it will be balanced with an easier workload on other days

- An online/remote assessment followed
- Face to face interview to talk about CV and company
- Final interview at head office which will include a presentation
