A great opportunity for a BSc/MSc Chemistry graduate with post-degree laboratory experience using a range of chemistry techniques. PhD scientists looking to move into a commercial role will also be welcomed. Field Service Engineers or Support Specialists in the analytical instrumentation field will also be considered.

This is a great opportunity to join a privately-owned company that has recorded significant business growth, and this role has arisen due to this reason. You will be provided with full product training, supported by other team members and your Manager.

PRODUCTS: Instruments for particle size analysis with laser diffraction, ultrasonic extinction, photon cross correlation spectrometry and image analysis.

CUSTOMERS: Pharmaceutical and Chemical Industries

Following intensive and thorough training at our German headquarters and in the UK the role will see you take responsibility to support our established customer base in the UK and Ireland.
You will be responsible for scheduled maintenance visits, repairs and installations.
Field Service Engineers provide a key role in building relationships with our customers offering technical support, troubleshooting and advice on our products and applications.
Supported by an experienced UK after sales team and with daily contact with our German headquarters the position offers a challenging but rewarding role to the right person.


PERSON SPECIFICATION:

The successful candidate will be educated to HNC or equivalent with an engineering or chemistry background.
Some professional experience in field service/technical support of products would be welcomed although we will accept applications from other relevant areas, including post-degree laboratory experience with similar products.
Working independently and field-based, you will be willing and able to travel nationally and occasionally internationally as the role demands.
