Field Service Engineer
London

Summary - to provide onsite service and validation testing, planned service and reactive breakdowns to a range of medical and life science customers. You will be given all the tools to succeed in this role including access to external courses and twice yearly visits to the European head office for training.

Tasks and Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventive services
- Perform validation tests according to the Industry Standards, HTM 01/01 and EN norms / HTM 2030/2010
- Perform the Installation Qualification (IQ) procedure, with reference to the company manual, to check everything is installed correctly and all elements are working. Be aware of safety issues when working with the pressurized elements; thermometric testing.
- Perform the Operation Qualification (OQ) as per the manual instructions to check that the machine operates as it should. Check the machine will run a full cycle without failing.
- Undertake maintenance and validation on Life Science equipment; Washers and Sterilizers
- Perform (or in Scotland, the Independent Person performs) the Performance Qualification, and pass the relevant test paperwork to the appointed Authorizing Engineer Decontamination AE (D) for them to verify that the machines have been installed correctly and are working correctly, before sign off by the customer.
- Train the operators to use the machines correctly and train the hospital engineers to maintain the machines to a basic level.
- Fix issues that arise either directly whilst on site or that have come in via the service administration team; order parts as necessary and arrange with the customer to fit.
- Manage the customer relationships and call the customer regularly to check that everything is going ok.

Job requirements:
Strong both electrically and mechanically
Minimum of City Guilds or equivalent electrical
Knowledge/Experience of the Healthcare sector with Life Science experience would be an asset
City and Guilds in testing; Sterilizers and Washer Disinfectors would be an asset.


Salary circa £40k per annum dependant of experience (this is inclusive of a London weighting allowance)
