Are you a strong engineer who is used to servicing complex systems that involve mechanical/vacuum systems? A leading scientific company are looking to recruit an engineer to join their team in the UK, to support users across the UK and Ireland.

This role will be particularly suitable for those who are coming from a forces background so applications from REME, RAF and Royal Navy are welcome as well as other strong engineers from capital backgrounds

Main Tasks & Responsibilities are:
Provide preventative of equipment and its associated ancillaries
Perform repairs, troubleshooting, diagnostics, fault finding and calibration routines
Complete equipment site surveys, installations and upgrades as necessary
Maintain all associated administrative functions including paperwork, regular contact, updates etc.
Provide basic operational training for customers
Provide technical support for customers, service agents and other engineers
This job will entail extensive travel across the UK, once up and running you would expect to stay away from home one night a week, this would be higher during training period.


Experience required:
Problem solving and diagnostic skills
Ability to work in a methodical and detailed manner
Mechanical skills
Experience with IT/software on capital systems
Good electronic skills

The following experience would also be advantageous:
Experience with vacuum, optics and working with high voltages


Package:
Basic salary up to £32,000 per annum
