Field Service Engineer

Field Service Engineer- Laboratory Diagnostis- Fault find, repair, maintenance & service.

A great opportunity to join a specialist medical diagnostics company, installing and servicing their hospital pathology analysers. This well-established company are significantly increasing year on year and have exciting growth plans too!
They provide excellent quality and tailored product training both in the UK and at their international HQ.

The role is predominately Midlands/Northern UK focused.
National travel will be required to support the wider team, overnight stays are likely to be 3-4 per month.

Role responsibilities:
On-site instrument maintenance, repair and troubleshooting and telephone support for instrument issues
Instrument installation and decommissioning
Installation & support of laboratory IT/network solutions (LIMS/middleware)
Work closely with the commercial team to ensure collaboration and excellent customer service
Training customers and colleagues in the use of the company's instruments and software
Ensure excellent standards of customer care by visiting clients proactively, in the absence of issues
Monitor spare parts inventory and ensure appropriate stock is maintained
Completion of all Administration requirements, timely and accurately in line with company policies and external quality control requirements
Any other duties as necessitated by the business

Person Specification:
An Electronic or Mechanical Engineering qualification e.g. BTEC, HNC
At least two years' experience working with instrumentation, ideally in a laboratory environment
Experience with IT information systems, preferably in a hospital environment
A keen interest in medical diagnostics and associated products, with a desire to develop a career in this field
Self-motivated, ability to organise and prioritise daily work, excellent communication skills, flexible and dynamic
