A leading Scientific company is seeking a service engineer in the Midlands to work across their range of analytical systems.

Scope of role
Install, validate, maintain and repair Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry systems across the Midlands. Within a reasonable distance of Stoke, Sheffield or Leicester would be ideal. This would initially be on GC & GCMS systems as well as further cross training on HPLC and their broader range of analytical systems in the longer team.

Field Service Engineer
Ensure that all equipment preventative maintenance work in the defined region is scheduled
and performed in a timely and efficient fashion and in keeping with customer expectations.
Manage the FSE car stock to correct levels for first time fix
Promote service contracts and instrument products in the region.
Support the area sales representative to generate leads for new business.
Answer customer queries, received by whatever means, in a timely and accurate manner.

Knowledge and experience of spectroscopy techniques is essential, knowledge of other techniques an advantage.
Ideally experience within a field service environment within analytical instruments, if you are based in a lab and have troubleshooting experience on analytical systems then that would be of interest
Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent is preferred.
Based with good access to a major city or town in the region and happy to travel throughout the region
