Field Service Engineer

Clinical Diagnostics, Fault find, repair, maintenance and service on products used in NHS pathology laboratories

A great opportunity for a Service Engineer (site or field-based) with experience working on clinical diagnostics, scientific laboratory equipment or medical devices instrumentation to join a growing and innovative global company in this sector! Excellent quality hands-on training is provided.
The company will also consider Service Engineers, looking to move into the healthcare sector! Experience from areas such as: semiconductors, trams, armed forces, rail, high volume manufacturing, wind turbines, oil rigs, aerospace, aviation will be considered.


TERRITORY: North-West England
PRODUCTS: Clinical Diagnostic Instrumentation used in oncology, diabetes testing, haemoglobin disorders
CLIENTS: NHS laboratories and private pathology laboratories

Main Responsibilities
- Field service repair and routine maintenance in accordance with written procedures and support of associated I.T systems.
- Service orientated and provided excellent customer support.
- Provide any relevant customer feedback to the sales team.
- Manage effective stock control
- Assist sales team with demonstrations and commissioning as required.
- Provide repair and technical support service for all equipment on demonstration as required by the sales department.
- To provide customer training.

Person Specification
Good electronic and electro-mechanical experience.
Servicing experience within the clinical diagnostics/IVD, laboratory equipment or medical devices industry
C & G, BTEC, ONC, HNC or other appropriate electronics qualification is required
The company will also consider applicants with a qualification and Service Engineer experience, looking to move into the healthcare sector. Servicing experience from areas such as: semiconductors, trams, armed forces, rail, high volume manufacturing, wind turbines, oil rigs, aerospace, aviation will be considered.
Need to travel and stay away from home as required, could be at short notice.
