Role Overview

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a growing, innovative scientific company who are looking to hire a Field Service Engineer within their UK team. They provide scientific instrumentation maintenance services and laboratory equipment in the UK and Ireland.

This role will be covering Midlands / South East region, involved with the service, repair, maintenance and installation of a range of analytical laboratory equipment. There will be occasional overnight stays across the UK and Europe so willingness to travel is essential.

This is an exciting time to join a growing company with the prospect of moving into a management role within 5 years! They are a close-knit family owned company with a £250 million turnover.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

•  Laboratory instrument maintenance delivery (LC, GC, MS, gas generation systems)
•  Technical problem solving
•  Systems qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) and quality documentation
•  Identify and report sales opportunities
•  Support Technical Management in achieving performance objectives


Person Specification

•  Multi-vendor LC/GC/MS laboratory service experience, preferably including LC-MS
•  Proven track record in a laboratory instrument support environment
•  Understanding of validation and quality documentation
•  Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills
•  Team player, able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
•  Willingness to travel to customers in the UK and overseas
•  Full driving licence
•  Knowledge of a Field Service Engineer day to day duties


Package

It will include full product training on instrumentation you haven't encountered before and this is a strictly Monday-Friday position that encourages an incredible work-life balance - hence the shutdown over Christmas and no on-call rota.
