Field Applications Specialist for clinical microbiology products used in NHS and private clinical laboratories.

PRODUCTS: Clinical Microbiology and Molecular Diagnostic Solutions
CUSTOMERS: NHS and Clinical Laboratories
TERRITORY: UK - overnight stays typically around 1-2 nights a month. (Working alongside two other Field Applications Specialists in the UK team)

This position is field-based, travelling to customer sites across the UK. It is a varied role, involving validations, troubleshooting, demonstrations and onsite customer training!

You will be working as part of a growing UK team in a supportive, team-focused environment. The company provide innovative solutions and sell their products across more than 30 countries globally!
This is an excellent opportunity for a Biomedical Scientist with a strong clinical microbiology background who is seeking to move into a commercial scientific position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform product and equipment demonstrations onsite to customers.
Provide training and ongoing customer support to customers onsite within the UK.
Ensure an excellent working relationship with customers and resolve any issues via troubleshooting or escalating to the Field Service Engineer if required.
Maintain excellent awareness of competitor activity and market trends, passing this feedback to the sales team.
Review, respond and action work emails on a daily basis
Work with customer service and other work colleagues in the field to manage and maintain customer loyalty and confidence.

REQUIREMENTS:
Degree or Equivalent in Microbiology, Biomedical Science or Biological Science
Experience working with Molecular Biology techniques.
Experience working as a Biomedical Scientist in a Clinical Microbiology Laboratory (ideally at Band 6 level)
Excellent communication skills, highly organised and motivated.
