Role Overview

Field Application Specialist, Separations Filtration
Territory: North UK / Cambridge area

We have a great opportunity for a biopharma downstream specialist to join our company as a Field Application Specialist. If you are interested in helping clients to resolve technical issues, improve their processes and use our products in the best way, then this is a job for you. You will already have experience in biopharma downstream manufacturing processes and equipment, with a focus on sterile filtration, gas filtration and cell clearance.
You will be based in the UK and working from home and travelling to visit clients, primarily based in Cambridge and North UK. Occasional international travel is required.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

What you will accomplish together with us:
Provide technical support to customers and sales colleagues on our filtration technologies products within the separations portfolio; this includes a broad range of sterile filters, air filters, integrity tester devices, and depth filters.
Lead product trials, demonstrations and provide ongoing application support to customers
Support our customers to develop new downstream processes, or scaling their processes for clinical / commercial manufacturing - adding technical value through continuous improvement
Troubleshoot customer technical issues remotely or on-site
Develop excellent and long-standing customer relationships
Organise and deliver training courses to sales colleagues
Maintain and update records of all field activities on CRM system
Collect feedback from the field and report back to relevant internal departments

Person Specification

Degree in life sciences or equivalent is necessary; masters or PhD are beneficial
Technical experience with relevant product range
Experience working in a process development/GMP facility
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Highly organised
Flexible attitude, practical and committed to delivering results
Demonstrate problem solving skills
Capable of working independently and as a part of a team
Willing to travel
