Role Overview

This vacancy presents the opportunity to work as an Application Specialist in our clients global Cell and Gene team; you will apply your scientific expertise in a commercial setting by delivering in-field technical support, application development, education and demonstrations to support current and future customers of my clients cell manufacturing and cell and gene portfolio.
Working closely with the sales team, you need to have practical experience and good knowledge of cell sorting, a well-organised individual with strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

You will conduct instrument training, present seminars, perform instrument demonstrations and support our client at trade fairs, congresses and symposia.
You will also monitor the activities of their competitors and their applications
You will develop their relationships with customers and key opinion leaders in academia, biotech, CRO/CMO and pharmaceutical companies

Person Specification

- Holds MSc or PhD degree, ideally in immunology, cancer research, stem cell research or haematology
-You have practical experience within cell and gene/cell manufacturing
and good knowledge of cell sorting
-Confident presenting 1-to-1 or to large groups, and has excellent written and communication skills
- Experience of delivering training 1-to-1 or to small groups
- Self-motivated team player
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Works well alone or as part of a team and displays good business acumen
- Regular travel suits your lifestyle
