Field Application Specialist

Exciting opportunity for a Biomedical or Clinical Scientist to move into a Field Application Specialist role with an excellent Diagnostics company!
Ideally based in North UK or Scotland.

Your main responsibility will be to provide field based pre- and post-sale applications support and training for customers on innovative Microbiology diagnostics and instrumentation, ranging from wet microbiology diagnostics such as ELISA, latex and lateral flow, to molecular diagnostics, antibiotic susceptibility testing, total laboratory automation and informatics.

The position will report to the Technical Manager and be part of a close team consisting of other Field Application Specialists and Technical Support. The team will work closely with Sales, Marketing and the General Manager

Specific responsibilities will include (but not be limited to)
-Technically and scientifically support customers via:
· demonstrations
· installations
· application support
· on-site customer training
· after sales on-site technical support
· interfacing support
· on-site go-live support
- Conduct customer focus group presentations.
- Maintain contact with all customers in the market area to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.

Special skills, knowledge, or training required:
- Suitable for a Biomedical or Clinical Scientist who is looking to move into a field application specialist role
- Experience in supplier relationship management.
- Experience in a commercial field support role preferred.
- Knowledge of Microbiology is preferred.
- Proven experience with laboratory software solutions and bioinformatics.
- Proven experience with automated bacteriology or other laboratory solutions.
- Willingness to travel and work in a national team of professionals.
- Education to University Degree Standard or equivalent.
- Full UK driving license
