Role Summary
To undertake all gel electrophoresis investigations in a timely and efficient manner as directed by the Gel Electrophoresis R&D Supervisor and with reference to the appropriate procedures / guidelines.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1.Testing of gel electrophoresis products according to pre-assigned testing and validation protocols.
2.Documentation of all testing work according to GMP/GLP standards.
3.Data input and analysis of results
4.Creation of new and update of existing validation protocols in concert with updates to international regulations.
5.Routine maintenance of laboratory instrumentation.
6.To develop, maintain and apply in-depth theoretical electrophoresis knowledge to support routine and novel research and development opportunities.
7.To work in accordance with Health and Safety and COSHH guidelines when handling reagents and chemicals used in automated and manual techniques. Complying with all statutory and site safety regulations.
8.To carry out other duties as directed by the Managing Director,
commensurate with the position and status.

1.Good laboratory practice.
2.Good Life Science background.
3.Sound knowledge/interest in Electrophoresis.
4.Good attention to detail.
5.Able to work well within a team.
6.Excellent time management and organisational skills.
7.Ability to priority plan.
8.Able to communicate well with all personnel within the company.
9. Competent in the use of the Internet and Microsoft Windows programs including Word, Excel, Power Point, and other statistical analysis software.
