An excellent opportunity for a scientist who has a strong background in electrochemistry to enter their first role in scientific sales with a reputable manufacturer! No previous sales experience is required and full training will be provided.

CUSTOMERS: Universities, research and industrial laboratories

The role of the Technical Sales Specialist will be to generate and deliver sales of the products in the UK and Ireland along with technical support and commissioning.

DETAILED JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales and Marketing:
To promote and sell Electrochemistry products, working with the Business Manager to maintain and increase sales for electrochemistry.
Demonstration of all products to a high technical standard
Joint visits with the Business Manager and Account Managers to promote products
Transporting and setting-up demonstration equipment in DC at customer sites and at exhibitions etc

MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS
Reporting to the Electrochemistry Business Manager
To provide technical and sales support for the UK and Ireland Sales Teams
Demonstrations of Electrochemistry equipment for sales
To assist the Electrochemistry Business Manager to design and implement marketing for Electrochemistry products

The successful candidate would ideally be one of the following:
An experienced Electrochemist with experience managing research projects and establishing technical experiments.
An experienced Salesperson with good knowledge of Electrochemistry.

Essential Skills
BSc Hons Degree in Chemistry or related subject
Full UK Driving Licence
Electrochemistry knowledge
Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate to people of all levels from basic operator to executives and senior academics.

Desirable Skills
Sales experience
PhD in Electrochemistry related project
Previous Laboratory equipment especially electrochemical equipment
Understanding of industrial electrochemical applications
