
Dental sales representatives are responsible for acquiring new customers as well as maintaining relationships with existing customers. Other responsibilities of a sales representative can include learning about the company’s products and/or services, as well as producing sales reports.
Maintaining relationships with current customers can involve having regular contact and checking that they are still happy with their current orders, informing them of any promotions that may be of benefit to them, and answering any questions that they may have. When attracting new business, this can be done in many ways including cold calling, face to face meetings, trade show events and online marketing.
