Technical Support Engineer
Basingstoke
This role would be suitable for someone who has serviced and maintained complex equipment in any environment, medical would be ideal but other heavily regulated environment or forces background would be welcome as full training will be given. Ideally you would have an electronics bias but be willing to do basic mechanical troubleshooting as well.
This will be a static role with a limited amount of travel, it would suit an experienced engineer who wants to spend more time based at one site and utilising their skills to help customers remotely and travelling occasionally.
-Primary Purpose and Overall Objective of the Job :
Contribute to the development of customer satisfaction and loyalty. Provide the customer with a level of service and trust developing the company's image.
Contribute to a profitable customer service, as well as the development of sales (equipment, reagents, services) in partnership with the sales and marketing teams.
To be one of the system experts. To support external customers directly via phone, video link, and on-site support as required. To support all internal customers with training and help as and when needed.
-Main Accountabilities:
Respond to customer or staff enquiries and fault reports, resolve issues, and generate any necessary documentation or records.
Acquire and maintain a broad knowledge of the systems marketed in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Attend and contribute to company and departmental meetings as required.
Perform any other tasks as directed by department management and deemed necessary for the effective operation of the Customer Relationship Center and provision of support to customers.
Maintain the workshop in a clean and presentable condition at all times.
Maintain demonstration systems in a good working order.
Liaise with other company personnel as required.
Accurately complete all paperwork required to document the repair and maintenance of systems and components in the workshop.
Requirements:
- Good aptitude in the electronics/engineering fields
- Educated to ONC/HNC level.
- Good communication, time management and organizational skills
