What were you looking for when you were seeking a new role? 

"I was looking for a more rewarding career with greater personal development and better opportunities for progression. I had wanted to transition into a technical sales role for a while and this job provided me with the perfect opportunity to do so."

What benefits have you had since securing your role?

"I have become a more confident person with more faith in my own ability and feel more motivated to succeed. One of my goals when joining the company was to play a part in the development of a new product that makes it to market – I am currently part way through this goal with a product now in the development stages which may launch next year. The increase in salary since moving roles has allowed me to save a deposit, so I’m ready to buy my first house!"

How did you find the recruitment process?

"The recruitment process was nice and smooth. After Zenopa sending on my CV, I attended an informal type interview with the CEO of the company just to discuss the role in more detail and for him to determine if I would be a good fit for the company and suited the profile of what they wanted. Following this I had a final interview which required me to deliver a presentation prior to a more formal interview. I was told I was successful in the post on the same day as the interview which was nice to not have to wait!"

How has your work/life balance improved?

"My work life balanced has improved substantially as I am longer being overworked and under-resourced. My new role is extremely flexible and allows me to work hours that suit me. Given the nature of my role, I am occasionally required to work outside ‘normal’ hours and the flexibility allows me to shift my hours in order to maintain a good work/life balance."

How did you find the service provided to you by Zenopa?

"The recruitment process was really easy as Zenopa did most of the work! They reached out to me regarding the role over LinkedIn, which sparked my interest as I already knew of the employer. Zenopa were very responsive and offered lots of guidance leading up to the interview. They arranged all interview dates with the employer and managed to work around my limited availability at that time. My recruiter Amy called to tell me I was successful shortly after I had the final interview. The whole process felt very personal."

Any other comments/feedback that you wish to give?

"I think Zenopa have a good balance when it comes to communication. I’ve never felt as though I was being sent through endless streams of job adverts even though 90% of them wouldn’t be relevant. It seems as though candidates are much more carefully selected than with other agencies. I also like the various scientific updates and salary surveys that continue to be sent around – I think this is a good way of us keeping in some form of communication with yourselves, but also keeping us aware of our current working situation.

My recruiter Amy was fantastic and made my jump from the NHS into the private sector nice and easy! I’m sure we will look to use Zenopa again when recruiting in the future."
