Business Development Manager

A great opportunity to join a scientific company that sell specialist HPLC, LCMS, GC AND GCMS instrumentation, consumables and service contracts to academic, research, food, environmental and pharmaceutical laboratories.

PRODUCTS: Chromatography Mass Spectrometry and HPLC consumables and equipment
TERRITORY: North UK and Scotland
CUSTOMERS: Academic, Research, Food, Environmental, Pharmaceutical Laboratories

This position is field-based travelling to customer sites regularly
Role Responsibilities:
- Achieve revenue targets via maintaining current accounts and developing new business opportunities.
- Visiting customers to build, develop and strengthen relationships.
- Prepare customer quotations
- Organise mini-exhibitions to gain new customers.
- Participate in tender preparations and pitches to win new business.
- Put together a business strategy to ensure that the region is effectively managed.
- Successfully renew existing service contracts and keep existing business through relationship building
- Ensure excellent communication between the sales and service team.
- Maintain excellent market, industry and product knowledge.

Person Specification:
A degree or equivalent in a Science discipline.
Mass Spectrometry and Chromatography experience essential..
