With annual sales of over USD 1 billion a globally established provider of precision instruments across a number of laboratory and industrial settings, is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join their team.

Job -
The Automation Design Engineer's primary responsibility is to provide technical documentation for electrical control systems using EPLAN software and design to relevant standards e.g. IEC 60204-1 and ISO 13849. Qualified candidates will posses good troubleshooting skills, be self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision. Previous E-Plan experience is not essential as we can offer training to the right candidate. This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer looking to further develop their skills and knowledge.
Design electrical control panels to relevant standards and customer specifications
Produce electrical designs using EPLAN Electric P8 software, and provide subsequent manufacturing drawings or related documentation (including BOM's)
Discuss or interpret requirements and then prepare concise engineering specifications as a prerequisite to design
Discuss and resolve design related manufacturing problems with in-house departments, sub contractors and suppliers
Keep up to date with changes to applicable UK, European and international legislation

Key Experience/Qualifications and Skill

Job Package

Salary £40,000 to £50,000 dependent upon experience + bonus
Basic hours are 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Bonus scheme, dependant on targets being achieved.
22 days holiday + 8 days statutory hols / 23 days after 3 years / 25 days after 7 years / 27 days after 10 years - Holiday year runs from 1st Jan to 31st Dec

Person Profile

Degree or relevant experience in automation control or electrical engineering
An appreciation of relevant UK, European and International legislation
Hands of experience of EPLAN Electric P8 Software (not essential)
Experienced using Teamcentre and SAP
Problem solving experience and route cause an
Excellent communication skills
Good attention to detail
Ability to handle a number of projects and multi task
