Advanced Imaging Specialist

A great opportunity for a PhD educated research scientist (bioscience or biophysics background) who has experience working with advanced light microscopy systems, keen to move into a customer-facing role offering customer technical support and guidance, training and instrument demonstrations.

Main Responsibilities
· Support sales team to help with the delivery of instrumentation sales, to contribute towards meeting sales budgets and targets, ensuring all actions are taken in order to maximise sales performance
· Delivery of customer training requirements on and off-site at the customer training centre
· Ensure initial and ongoing customer training requirements are understood and delivered to a high standard
· Assist with Instrumentation demonstrations and installations
· Collaborate with the sales team to assist with Tender responses - produce product specification documents, technical response documents and quotations.
· Assist in sales strategy development, using market intelligence to help the sales team identify key institutes and stakeholders to speak to in the region.
· Manage relationships with key UK customers
· Market Intelligence - be aware of market trends and competitor activity, as well as technological developments.
· Attend external events, including seminars, conferences and exhibitions.
· Assist with the development of sales strategies with new product launches.
· Project Management

Person Specification:
· Degree in Biosciences or Biophysics related subject (ideally PhD) and at least 3 year's post degree experience working with advanced light microscopy systems, for example, confocal, super resolution, high content and multi-photon systems, liver cell imaging biological applications
· Able to apply knowledge of optics and biology to provide innovative solutions to meet customer requirements
· Competent in Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook, databases & internet
· Excellent interpersonal skills & ability to build rapport, to influence & engage at all levels of business
