Scientific Sales - selling service contracts to NHS and pathology laboratories in the South-East of England.

A great opportunity for a commercially minded Biomedical Scientist with expertise in Biochemistry/Immunology/Haematology/Microbiology/histology to move into scientific sales!

This role involves selling service contracts to NHS pathology laboratories within this region via developing the business through existing and new suppliers.
The company provide a wide support network within their team to help develop and train new starters.
This position is field-based with around 80% travel to customer sites across the region, with around one day per week working from home.

Laboratory experience working as a Biomedical Scientist, or a Clinical Scientist using immunological/biochemistry/haematology/microbiology/histology or related techniques is preferred!

TERRITORY: East Anglia (Norwich, Ipswich, Cambridge and Colchester)

· To liaise and communicate effectively with customer and supplier stakeholders in order to ensure that managed services are delivered in accordance with the customer and contract requirements.
· To organise and lead contract review meetings for all operational contracts.
· To monitor customer activities in order to identify potential additions to MSC's.
· To develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and to identify opportunities to bring new suppliers into contracts.
· To advise management on potential additions to the supplier base.
· To assist supplier sales teams in promotion of MSCs.
· To assist with the preparation of tenders as and when required.

· BSc Biomedical Science or Biological based subject
· Laboratory experience working as a Biomedical Scientist, Clinical Scientist or in a laboratory
· Strong knowledge and experience of the NHS Pathology sector preferably in an equipment or consumable supply environment.
· Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and techniques
· Excellent communication skills
· Strong interpersonal skills
