A great opportunity to move into scientific sales for someone holding a BSc or MSc (life sciences or chemistry), with post-degree experience working in the laboratory (Research Scientist, Lab Technician or similar) or a recent graduate who has practical laboratory experience and a clear desire to move into a customer-facing scientific sales role!
Full training is provided and it is a great opportunity into a role within a privately-owned, family run and established company with a good reputation in the market for selling laboratory products.

PRODUCTS: Laboratory consumables, instrumentation and chemicals
TERRITORY: Berkshire, Hampshire, Kent, Surrey and Sussex
CUSTOMERS: Academic, Research, Hospital and Industrial Laboratories

This role involves managing existing accounts in this region alongside developing new business opportunities, advising and consulting customers and selling a range of laboratory products from a range of reputable manufacturers/brands.
You will be travelling to customer sites across the region about 80% of your time, with around one day per week working from home, booking customer appointments and following up on enquiries etc.

Role Responsibilities:
Maintain and develop sales in the territory through face-to-face meetings via direct contact, telephone and email, visiting customers from a broad market-base.
Prospect and identify new customers
Source products to meet customer needs
Ensure administration and records are noted accurately.
Maintain and develop awareness of market trends, competitor awareness and knowledge of the scientific laboratory market place.

Person Specification:
Bachelors of Science degree (life science or chemistry based) as a minimum qualification
A general laboratory background post-degree, with a preference for experience in life science techniques (working as a lab scientist or technician)
Laboratory sales experience would be favourable but not essential
Excellent communication, organisational and relationship-building skills
