Account Manager

Due to rapid growth, we are urgently seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our UK sales team. The successful candidate will be a driven, enthusiastic self-starter experienced in the technical sale of high value laboratory equipment. - this position will be 100% remote based.
Reporting to the UK Sales Manager, you will be primarily responsible for exceeding sales targets by identifying and taking ownership of new accounts. These will cover all market sectors within your territory including NHS and private diagnostics, academia and applied testing. The role is home-based, with occasional travel to customer sites at your discretion (up to 10%).
Duties and Responsibilities
Utilise your network of contacts along with external resources to actively seek and connect with new prospects in qPCR and liquid handling
Confidently present the benefits of BMS solutions to prospects using telephone, video, and E-mail, utilising pre-call planning for maximum effectiveness
Develop trusted customer relationships by acting as single point of contact for BMS sales and first-line troubleshooting
Document all customer communication and maintain full opportunity funnel in Salesforce CRM
Provide regular forecasting to ensure production meets customer demand
Exceed sales targets and KPIs associated with the role

Skills and Experience
A proven track record in high value laboratory sales - relevance to molecular biology preferred
Experience of NHS, large university and private sector procurement methods, with tenders, e-Procurement and punch-out systems an advantage
Professional sales manner when communicating with customers by telephone and email, with a drive to provide above-and-beyond service to all customers
An eye for detail, in both preparing customer workflows and maintaining brand guidelines in all communication
Motivation to take advantage of a generous uncapped commission scheme
Strong time management skills and initiative
Experience with CRM - Salesforce a bonus
