Scientific diagnostic sales, selling immunoassay and molecular diagnostic instrumentation and automation to NHS and private clinical laboratories across Southern UK.

An excellent opportunity for a Biomedical Scientist (or related experience) with a strong practical clinical laboratory background in /molecular biology/microbiology/immunoassay/virology who is looking to move into a field-based technical sales role. Full training is provided!

The role is 80% field-based travelling to customer sites, with around one day per week working from home.

PRODUCTS: Immunoassay and Molecular Diagnostics tests, instrumentation and automation.
TERRITORY: Southern England
CUSTOMERS: NHS and private laboratories - contact levels include: pathology laboratory managers, procurements, clinicians, surgeons and infectious disease consultants

Role responsibilities:
To achieve agreed sales and revenue targets for relevant product groups, via maintaining and strengthening customer relationships and developing business
Work with the marketing team to deliver on marketing strategy.
Promptly answer questions from customers relating to the products and provide any assistance when needed.
Ensure excellent market knowledge and report any developments internally that may affect the performance of the products and to advise on company marketing strategy.
Work closely with Field Application Specialists to co-ordinate customer training and technical support when required.
Develop and maintain relationships with all customers and influencers within the region via regular visits and contact.
Help with organisation and attend any exhibitions and workshops as required.
Assist in the production of all quotations and tenders relating to the relevant product group

Person Specification:
Life Sciences/Biomedical degree and post-degree experience working in a clinical laboratory is essential (ideally 2+ years).
Competent practical laboratory background in clinical microbiology/virology/molecular biology
Confident, adaptable, self-motivated, analytical, and able to work on own initiative and as part of a team, with excellent communication and presentation skills
