Account Manager

Great opportunity to join a well known manufacturer and distributor of consumables and instrumentation for clinical and research applications.

TERRITORY: Northants, Beds, Middlesex, Herts, Bucks, Oxfordshire and North West London
PRODUCTS: High quality laboratory consumables and bench top instruments.
CUSTOMERS: NHS, Academic, Biotech, and pharmaceutical laboratories

To achieve sales targets by maintaining, developing and exploiting business relationships with new and existing customers.

Key Responsibilities:
. To achieve sales targets.
. To build, develop and exploit profitable relationships with all current and potential customers within the assigned territory;
. To ensure professional standards of customer service and support at all times;
. To ensure effective journey planning and time management;
. Improve eface to facef selling time by means of efficient planning and appointments;
. Gather customer intelligence and feedback to enable a proactive participation in product enhancement and new product development;
. To monitor and report changes in market trends and competitor activities;
. To organise and attend local exhibitions, and to attend national exhibitions when required;
. To maintain customer records within the territory;
. To ensure all literature, presenters and other business material is presented in a professional manner and that it is current and fit for purpose;
. Provide requests of product samples and quotations for customers;
. Timely management and submission of all required reports and requests;
. To ensure that all company standards and policies are adhered to.
