Covering Scotland (main focus Glasgow, Edinburgh and Central Belt) and North-East England, selling immunohaematology products - suitable for a Biomedical Scientist with experience working within Blood Transfusion who is keen to use their technical knowledge in a customer-facing scientific sales position. Full sales training is provided!

This role is field-based with 80% travel to customer sites across the region, with around one day per week working from home. This position involves strengthening relationships with current customers as well as developing new business opportunities in this region, understanding their research needs, providing suitable solutions and maintaining a high level of customer service.

PRODUCTS: Immunohaematology reagents and systems
TERRITORY: Scotland and North-East England
CUSTOMERS: NHS and private clinical laboratories

Role Responsibilities:
Achieve the designated revenue target for this geographical region via maintaining and building new customer relationships
Work with the wider commercial team and Sales Manager to deliver the agreed sales strategy via planning, forecasting and monitoring
Ensure excellent customer service and effective customer communication
Work on and deliver quotations and assist with tender completion for Managed Service Contracts
Ensure excellent market knowledge, awareness of trends and competitor activity
Perform product demonstrations and training at customer sites when required and liaise with wider commercial team to ensure that customer needs are met.
Ensure all relevant information is recorded on the customer database
Attendance at exhibitions, networking events and company sales meetings

Person Specification:
Experience working in a clinical laboratory working as a Biomedical Scientist within Blood Transfusion
Excellent practical understanding of Immunohaematology
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with differing levels of seniority
Team focused, self-motivated and a good understanding of the role of a clinical diagnostics/scientific sales person
