PRODUCTS: Particle size analysis and rheology products and instrumentation.
TERRTORY: South-East UK (main account are in Cambridge, Oxford and London)
CUSTOMERS: Pharmaceutical & Food and Academic Laboratories

The company are looking for someone with experience in scientific sales or providing technical support for scientific instrumentation in this region (for example analytical, microscopy, spectroscopy, or particle characterisation preferred), product knowledge is not essential as full product training is provided.
The company will consider people looking to move from the laboratory (ideally PhD educated) into a technical sales role but drive and motivation to move into this type of role is essential.

It is a field-based position, travelling to customer sites around 3-4 days per week with one day per week working from home.

Role Responsibilities:
· Achieve targeted sales and profitability targets - via maintaining existing customer relationships and developing new business opportunities.
· Perform product demonstrations at customer sites
· Develop and grow sales via prospecting and business development
· Demonstrate excellent market analysis and competitor awareness, market insight and analysis.
· Establish and develop excellent customer relationships to ensure loyalty and customer satisfaction.

Person Specification:
· BSc/MSc/PhD degree in chemistry, physics or materials science;
· Preferably proven track record in sales in a B2B business environment with demonstrable growth.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to interact with colleagues and customers at all levels (also using modern computer-based communication methods like Skype and Microsoft Teams)
· Wide knowledge and understanding of the academia and industrial equipment
