A Clinical Research Associate (CRA) is responsible for setting up and monitoring clinical trials. Clinical trials have to be carried out before a drug is released on the market. The first phase of clinical trials is where the drug is tested on healthy humans to monitor any side effects. A trial is then carried out on a small group of patients with the condition/ disease.
