Published by Business Insights, the Innovations in In-Vitro Diagnostics: New Technologies, Growth Opportunities and the Future Market Outlook study has been made available this week.
The competitive positions of such providers, as well as their levels of performance, market presence and focus on research and development are just some of the areas the paper considers.
Among the findings in the research is MRSA screening's emergence as one of the "most important" sectors for molecular diagnostics, as well as how assay technology in the study of respiratory viruses is becoming widely adopted.
"Clinical diagnostics is an attractive and growing industry," a statement accompanying the report reads. "However, achieving market growth is becoming increasingly challenging due to the difficulty in developing novel diagnostics."
Earlier this month, Siemens Healthcare announced its involvement with Disney to create a new book to help raise awareness of allergies in children.
