Awards presented included prizes for AAPS Excellence in Ligand Binding Assays and AAPS Research Achievement Award in Biotechnology.
Northern Lipids, Intertek and EMD Chemicals were among the companies exhibiting their latest wares.
News of the conference follows Eurogentec's announcement in January of this year that it received medica device ISO 13495:2003 certification for its In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) oligonucleotides.
The company said this marks added assurance to customers that its products are reliable, effective and establish reproducible processes for the manufacturing of oligonucleotides used in molecular diagnostic devices.
"ISO 13485 certification is another important milestone in Eurogentec' s strategy to further grow our presence in the rapidly growing North American and European molecular diagnostics markets," remarked global manager of IVD services Dr Peter Haima.
The group added it has held ISO 9001 standards since 2000.
