Align Technology agrees distribution deal with Glidewell Dental

Align Technology has announced an expanded distribution agreement with Glidewell Dental in North America.

Under the new agreement, the companies will distribute the iTero Element intraoral scanning system in North America with the newly unveiled Glidewell.io In-Office Solution, an easy-to-use new chairside restorative ecosystem.

This will mean that iTero Element scanner will be integrated into Glidewell's Fastdesign.io software, which can be used to auto-design restorations for the clinician's approval or communicate with a lab's digital design technicians as needed.

The combined solution will be showcased at the forthcoming Greater New York Dental Meeting from November 24th to 29th, and is expected to be available to North American customers in the first quarter of 2018.
