Hologic names health sector veteran as new board member

Hologic has announced the appointment of Charles Dockendorff as the newest member of its board of directors with immediate effect. 

Mr Dockendorff brings to the role more than 25 years of experience in the global healthcare industry, having most recently served as executive vice-president and chief financial officer of the medical technology firm Covidien, now a Medtronic subsidiary.

“Hologic has appointed veteran healthcare sector leader Charles Dockendorff as a member of its board of directors.“

In this role, he was responsible for the company's global financial management activities, including corporate accounting, tax, treasury, financial planning and investor relations, as well as internal audit and information services.

He also serves as a director for Boston Scientific, Haemonetics and Keysight Technologies, and will join Hologic's audit and finance committee as part of his work with the company.

Steve MacMillan, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Hologic, said: "As a proven business leader who brings a strong track record of value creation, Chuck's financial acumen and depth of experience in operations and strategy are a welcome addition to our board."
