Dentsply Sirona’s Sidexis 4 software earns German Design Award recognition

Dentsply Sirona has announced that its Sidexis 4 software platform has earned a German Design Award special mention.

The 48-member jury for the 2017 awards programme bestowed this honour in recognition not only of the qualities of the product itself, but also of the commitment shown by the company and its designers for the development and realisation of the product concept.

Sidexis 4 is designed to provide a smooth workflow and facilitate the working routines of dentists with an intuitive user interface, whether they are carrying out daily operations, analysing image data, making a diagnosis or consulting patients.

Data can be easily transferred to other practice management software platforms, or organised in a timeline to offer a quick overview. The software also lets dentists compare two 3D X-ray images or up to four 2D images simultaneously.

Jorg Haist, head of imaging systems product management at Dentsply Sirona, said: "An even better viewing angle closely aligned to the dentist's perspective was central to the development process. The innovative and now award-winning design serves to enhance the quality of diagnostics, treatment planning and patient consultations."
