Norbrook Laboratories hails record-breaking success of Kelso Ram Sales

Norbrook Laboratories has highlighted the success of the 2016 Kelso Ram Sales, which were organised by the Border Union Agricultural Society with the company's support.

In total, 4,285 rams were sold at the event, giving a clearance rate of 83.56 percent. More rams sold for record prices than ever before, with the best ever averages in some breeds and a record turnover for the day of almost three million pounds.

This year's show was the first to be sponsored by Norbrook, with the event officially rebranded as the Closamectin Kelso Ram Sales to promote the company's flukicide and wormer brand Closamectin.

During the event, Norbrook took the opportunity to stage an exclusive launch for its new product Solantel, a closantel drench for sheep and lambs to treat liver fluke from five weeks immature.

Chris Geddes, marketing manager at Norbrook, said: "Norbrook is committed to supporting the farming community, and we believe that this substantial investment in the Ram Sales will help to advance the event even further."

Norbrook has been confirmed as the sole event sponsor for the Ram Sales until at least 2018.
