Merck launches new Mobius products for biopharmaceutical manufacturing

Merck has announced the launch of three new Mobius products for use in biopharmaceutical manufacturing applications.

The first is the Mobius 1,000-litre single-use bioreactor, which incorporates the industry's only bottom-loading drawer for easy and safe bag installation, as well as making it easy to achieve homogenous and fast mixing for consistent performance.

Also launching is the Mobius Power MIX 2000, which incorporates an impeller design and a motor based on magnetically-coupled NovAseptic technology to creates a strong vortex to handle difficult-to-mix buffers, media and other ingredients.

Finally, the Mobius single-use 3D large liquid transportation system provides single-use bags and stainless steel transporter bins to facilitate the safe and convenient road transportation of media, buffers, intermediates and final bulk drug products at cold or ambient temperatures.

Each of these products has been designed to provide efficiency and ease-of-use benefits compared to existing offerings.
