3M launches Physician Compare software

3M has launched new Physician Compare software, which is the latest addition to its Health Analytics Suite. This offers hospitals and health systems advanced analytic tools to manage the health of populations, measure provider performance and to better understand the total cost of care.

Physician Compare will enable health care facilities to track each provider's performance and quickly identify cases that fall outside of the norm, such as mortality in low-risk cases, high costs and long stays, readmissions, and cases flagged with a patient safety indicator, a quality issue or complication.

Health Analytics, which was launched in 2015, supports participation in an Accountable Care Organization and state initiatives such as Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment programs.

The new web-based software module offers easy-to-navigate interactive dashboards and powerful data reporting tools.
