Pentax Medical to showcase endoscopy solutions at BSG event

Pentax Medical has announced that it will be attending the upcoming British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG) annual meeting between June 25th and 27th 2013.

During the event at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre in Glasgow, the company will showcase innovations such as the EPK-i7000 HD Plus video processor and i10 endoscope series.

The EPK-i7000 HD Plus is designed to offer high-quality images and illumination, with a unique Twin Mode feature facilitating the assessment of detected lesions by direct evaluation of different i-scan modes.

Meanwhile, the i10 endoscopes can deliver superior visualisation of the mucosa to improve detection and characterisation, while also reducing procedure and diagnosis times.

Dr Matthew Banks from University College London Hospital said: "Recent advances in the field of endoscopic imaging now allow for a more detailed examination of the colon, thereby improving our adenoma detection rates and enabling an in vivo diagnosis of the polyp's histology."

Earlier this month, the company announced that it will be sponsoring the upcoming Cutting Edge Laryngology Conference 2013 in London, where it will also be showcasing a variety of new products.
