Sanofi appoints new commercial operations head

Sanofi has named David Loew as its new senior vice-president for commercial operations and chairman of the European strategic committee within the company's global leadership team.

Mr Loew joins the business on July 1st 2013 from Roche, where he currently serves in the role of regional head for Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

In his new position at Sanofi, he will report to new executive vice-president for global commercial operations Peter Guenter and will take responsibility for managing the company's dealings in 38 countries.

He will be tasked with defining the commercial strategy for the region and ensuing its execution is carried out effectively by more than 9,000 Sanofi employees.

Mr Guenter said: "David’s vast experience, international exposure and knowhow at both country and corporate positions will be a significant addition to Sanofi."

The firm appointed Mr Guenter to his new role earlier this month as part of a restructuring of its executive committee that also saw Pascale Witz become executive vice-president for global divisions and strategic commercial development.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801591300-ADNFCR
