Cohn and Wolfe handed Nokia global PR contract

14th May 2013

Cohn and Wolfe has been handed a major global PR brief with Nokia, which will see the agency tasked with revitalising the tech giant's brand image.

The firm has been chosen for the multimillion-dollar assignment following a review carried out by Nokia earlier this year, with Cohn and Wolfe winning out thanks to its proven consumer and lifestyle expertise, according to The Holmes Report.

Nokia is seeking to regain its former market-leading position in the global mobile phone market, which has been eroded considerably by the likes of Apple and Samsung since the era of the smartphone began.

The company is hoping that its Lumia range – developed in partnership with Microsoft – will help it to restore its appeal as a consumer and lifestyle brand, with Cohn and Wolfe's expertise to prove pivotal in these efforts.

Cohn and Wolfe's chief executive officer Donna Imperato said: "This was a cross-practice win involving our technology, digital , branding and insights and lifestyle marketing teams, who look forward to partnering with Nokia on achieving their business goals."

Earlier this month, Ms Imperato was presented with a Sabre Award by The Holmes Report for her outstanding individual achievements in the PR sector over the last year.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801584941-ADNFCR
