BMI Healthcare earns five Independent Healthcare Award nods
BMI Healthcare's commitment to quality and innovation has been recognised with five nominations for the forthcoming Independent Healthcare Awards for 2013.
In the outstanding contribution category, BMI The London Independent Hospital's consultant cardiologist Dr Charles Knight has been nominated for his work in enhancing cardiac care, while Ian Jenkins – consultant colorectal surgeon at BMI The Clementine Churchill Hospital – also received a nod.
Sharon Campbell, chronic pain sister at BMI Ross Hall Hospital, was nominated in the nursing practice category, with surgeon Professor Tony Kochhar shortlisted for the innovation prize thanks to his work in pioneering new upper limb orthopaedic treatments.
Finally, the organisation as a whole was also nominated within the risk management category for the good work carried out by its multidisciplinary thrombosis board.
The winners of the Independent Healthcare Awards will be named at a dinner event on October 8th 2013.
Earlier this month, BMI Healthcare revealed that its BMI Thornbury Hospital in Sheffield was named in an NHS Partners Network survey as one of the three best providers of hip replacements in the country.
