Greiner Bio-One launches 96-well SensoPlate Plus microplate

Greiner Bio-One has announced the launch of a new 96-well microscopy plate with a transparent borosilicate glass bottom and a black cycloolefin frame.

The SensoPlate Plus microplate has been developed for use in high-resolution microscopy and fluorescence correlation spectroscopy applications, offering resistance to dimethyl sulfoxide and 70-percent ethanol, plus optimised geometry for ease of measurement and high-resolution imaging.

Offering a condensed distance between the microplate well and skirt bottom, the device is able to provide enhanced perimeter well microscopy, with its circular wells preventing disruptive
shadows with small meniscus lenses and the large diameter permitting increased working volumes.

The new SensoPlate Plus products are suitable for cell culture use and will be made available in cases of 16.

Last month, Greiner Bio-One introduced a new black 96-well Screenstar cycloolefin microplate, which has been developed specially for high-resolution microscopy, at the Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening's annual conference in Orlando, Florida.
